Also known as the Comet Moth, the Mittrei is an impressive Saturniidae species that is similar to Luna moths, but much larger. The males have extremely long tails, often reaching seven inches. As with all Saturniidae moths, the Mittrei does all its eating in the larva stage. The adult moth has no mouth and cannot eat.
